Gun Control Debate Part 1

I did a Speech on Gun Control this is part one of that speech: (these are notes from my speech so spelling and grammar will not be all correct)

So out of the top 10 causes of death in America what place do you think Guns are in? Well it’s actually not in the top 10 list at all; in fact it’s not even on the top 30 causes of death list. People being killed with guns is still a problem in north America not a huge one, but still a problem, it’s too bad gun control doesn’t and won’t ever solve the problem.    Now Gun Control is a policy that means good, it’s a policy that his good intentions. But none of that really matters, all the matters is does the policy work! And for gun control the answer is No. As Dennis Prager Says “bad people will always get arms the world is not some fairy tale”

I tend to agree it is Ludacris to think that having a Law will keep criminals from owning guns. After all a criminal is someone who doesn’t follow the laws. What gun control ultimately does is it takes the guns out of the hand of the private citizens and gives a monopoly of guns to the government. It also gives a monopoly of guns to the criminals because if there was let’s say a hand gun ban which a few people are proposing, the only people who would turn in their guns would be the law following citizens, criminals would keep their guns leaving them with a monopoly of guns and power.
