Gun Control Debate Part 2

I did a Speech on Gun Control this is part one of that speech: (these are notes from my speech so spelling and grammar will not be all correct)

When we have bans on guns it leaves the citizens defenceless, it makes them an easy target for criminals. Even if you do not want to own a gun having little gun control will make you safer.  Because the attacker does not know if you are carrying a gun or not, if you were going to confront someone would you rather confront someone with a gun or without one? Let say you were going to break into someone’s house would you rather break into a house in taxes for example where there’s a good chance the person has a gun to defend themselves or a house in Sweden where it is very likely they do not have a gun to protect themselves. If you have half a brain you would pick option B the house in Sweden. With this example you can see how gun control actually makes people less safe.

A great example of Gun Control not working is Chicago 2 years ago they had 506 murders almost all gun related, in the past year almost a thousand! Chicago is a city with one of toughest gun laws in America. Another City with some of the toughest gun control laws in America is Aurora. This city has become famous for the batman shooting. One Reason Why the shooter was able to kill 12 and injure 52 more was because concealed carried weapons are banned in Aurora.  Anyone who would have acted with a fire arm in self defense would have been charged. The City Of Aurora forced the citizen to be defenceless well knowing they couldn’t provide protection to everyone.  It would be nice if the Police could protect everyone. But even the police say they almost always arrive after the crime has been done.  Those are just two of hundreds of examples of gun control not helping. Now did gun control use to work? Well lets take a look back at history.
